Blind tool and polish and you will be amazed at how appropriate this "Rind" is for 16th, 17th and early 18th century bindings.

This is an amazing leather, you would never think this was goatskin it is so smooth. The marbling is totally authentic, produced by sprinkling the leather and throwing on water which forms veins. Also a perfect colour for period work.

Alum tawed pig skin.
This is it! Softer to work than any pig skin I have seen. Produced to an authentic 15th century style recipe that was used profusely in bookbinding through the 15th to 18th centuries in Europe.
