Book Binding Papers

Antique Laid Paper 100gsm

SORRY THIS PAPER HAS BEEN DISCONTINUED BY THE MILL

I will try to source a similar paper, but this one was unique value. Look out for updates on this page.

This is a very nice old style acid free Antique Laid paper, much harder to find now due to shrinking markets. It makes an excellent end paper and also we used this paper stock for paper marbling.

It is an acid free paper SRA2 in size, long grain and vellum in colour, someone coined the term antique cream which is a nice description.

 19th Century Style Wove Paper.

repair paper

This paper was made on an antique Fourdriner paper-making machine.

The goal was to create a facsimile of the type of wove papers used to such a great extent during the 19th Century.

Each sheet has been hand selected for a maximum caliper of four-thousandths, and a minimum caliper of three-thousandths. This translates to a sheet weight of approx 80gsm

The sheet size is 19 inches by 30 inches.

The colour of the paper is ivory, the paper takes tinting extremely well, and with little effort can be made to blend in with any antique shade. Some binders have used "air-brushing" with great success. THERE IS NO OTHER PAPER QUITE LIKE THIS IN THE WORLD.

Price per 5 sheets INCLUDING tax and postage £19.45

Price per 10 sheets INCLUDING tax and postage £33.65

WE ARE HAPPY TO GIVE DISCOUNTS FOR LARGER ORDERS.

Archival Quality Heavy Cartridge
